As library users’ information needs and behaviors have changed over the last decade, so have traditionally-compartmentalized reference and circulation desk roles. After 10 years of public school teaching, Margaret Harmon-Myers shifted to public libraries, working as Children’s and Young Adult Librarian at Klamath County Library for 6 years. She has now been at Eugene Public Library for over 17 years working in Adult Reference Services. She has been involved in OLA for 20 years, and is the Chair of the Support Staff Division of OLA.
Sara Webster is a Library Assistant with Beaverton City Library – Murray Scholls Branch, three years and going strong! She particularly enjoys geology reference questions and introducing people to the wonders of eBooks.
