Meetings Made Easy: How automated scheduling services can streamline booking reference appointments, presented by Genifer Snipes @ University of Oregon
One of the challenges of reference services is connecting patrons with subject specialists when front-line librarians have done all they can and the specialists aren’t immediately available. Appointment booking software reduces the complexity of this process by enabling patrons and librarians to instantly arrange meetings rather than resort to an endless stream of emails or similar solution. This program will review scheduling tools available to libraries, address the process of implementing a scheduling system, and discuss some of the major benefits and challenges of such a program.
